The Washington State Patrol (WSP) arrested a driver on suspicion of vehicular homicide Tuesday morning after a passenger car collided with two semi-trucks and another passenger car, leaving one dead.
The collision has closed all lanes of southbound I-5 near the Northgate Way exit. Traffic has been diverted into collector/ distributor lanes at the exit, and the Washington State Department of Transportation is recommending that commuters find alternate routes.
Neither the WSP nor WSDOT have established a clear timeline for when the scene of the crash will be cleared, opening the interstate to traffic.All lanes on southbound I-5 at the Northgate Way/1st Ave NE off-ramp are blocked due to a collision.
