Alaska State Trooper Dispatch said a four-door sedan pulled in front of the southbound commercial vehicle, not yielding at a stop sign.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A motor vehicle accident on the Richardson Highway at mile 332 near Salcha on Monday morning has left one person dead.

According to the Alaska Department of Public Safety, the accident involved a passenger vehicle and a commercial truck, and took place around 6:25 a.m. Alaska State Trooper Dispatch says a four-door sedan pulled in front of the southbound commercial vehicle, not yielding at a stop sign. The sedan’s driver, 42-year-old Temitayo Iyanu Kalejaiye, was declared dead at the scene. Next of kin for the deceased has been notified. Black Gold Transport has confirmed that the commercial vehicle was an unloaded ore hauler being used in the effort to transport ore between Manh Choh and Kinross Fort Knox.
