San Diego based scientists are part of a team that explains why the planet’s ocean currents are speeding up and what the implications are.
Co-Producer Julie Dunfey discussed a new documentary"The National Parks: America's Best Idea," and some of the most scenic of the nation's 58 parks.
“We were surprised to see that surface currents speed up in more than three-fourths of the world’s oceans when we heated the ocean surface,” said study lead author Qihua Peng, a postdoctoral researcher at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
