In the overlong title of the overly overlong action thriller “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” the word “presents” is as squishy as the word “supports” on the label of a homeopathic remedy.
What it really means is that the venerable “Fast & Furious” franchise has spun off two popular characters who’ve been sworn enemies—Dwayne Johnson’s lawman, Luke Hobbs, and Jason Statham’s outlaw, Deckard Shaw—and given them an episode of their own where they must team up to save the world from a supervirus that liquefies...
