Fashion experts predict the rise of personal style, high heels, and bespoke luxury in 2025.
In 2024, a lot happened for fashion. We saw a resurgence of the bohemian look and the Jane Birkinfication of bags with excessive bag charms. Belts got weird. Tutus went mainstream. Brat green became the unofficial color of summer (and fall), with Charli XCX ushering in a messier era that pushed quiet luxury out of the zeitgeist.
The new year is here and the trends that will define 2025 are far from fully formed, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun to try and guess what this year has in store for us. There will no doubt be some styles and items that go viral, but mostly, hopefully, 2025 will be a time when we look inward for inspiration, finding joy in the personal quirks and tastes we observe around us. I see this year as a call for all of us to throw caution—and the algorithms—to the wind and find the fun in fashion again.'—Brooke Bobb, Fashion News Director A High Heel Resurgence 'Flats have dominated footwear for the last few years, but I see brands steadily hiking up the inches on shoes, from Sandy Liang’s ballet slingbacks to Chloé’s stacked wedge
