Westchester County Medical Center still has five students, three of whom are in fair condition and two are listed in good condition, officials said.
Paul Defendini said in a recorded statement that all the students injured in Thursday's bus crash are expected to recover, Newsday reported.A handful of the victims in the Farmingdale bus crash are no longer in critical condition.
"I know that they appreciate all the well wishes you are sending and we can't wait to welcome them back to school when they are ready to return," he added. On Friday evening, 13 people were still hospitalized. Eight victims, including three in serious condition, were being treated at Westchester Medical Center. Five others were being treated at Garnett Health Medical Center.
Humm said the agency will be examining several factors, including the vehicle, motor carrier and the emergency response.Farmingdale student Anthony Eugenio, 15, was asleep on the bus when he felt a thud and awoke to what he thought was a dream or nightmare.
