Anyone! We are looking for real people who will speak about their personal experiences.
The national project has a 97% acceptance rate from people whom have contacted them with a story to tell, from as young as 17 to as old as 82.As long as you participate in the coaching process and are within our guidelines, you’ll probably end up on stage.journalists from The Columbus Dispatch will reach out to you to schedule three coaching calls.
Local journalists are trained to help you make your 6 to 10 minute story the best it can be and they will work with you during the calls to polish your story and make it funnier or more poignant before you go on stage.When are the shows?The doors open at 6 p.m. and the shows start at 7 p.m.with the theme Growing Up; June 15, with the theme Neighbors; Sept. 14, with the theme Food and Family; and Nov. 16, with the theme Holidays., or click on the dates above for links to the events..
It features an intimate vibe where you will feel like the storytellers are talking directly to you from the stage. Twinkle lights strung from the ceiling set the mood, and a cash bar with snacks and beverages is available for an hour before the show.
