A Mrs Hinch fan has shared their incredible cleaning tip for getting white towels looking brand new after they were plagued with discolouration and stains
Households across the globe face the age-old challenge of keeping their white laundry spotless, especially those dreaded towels tarnished with persistent grey shades.
A popular remedy shared by users was using soda crystals to return the lost lustre to "dull" white towels, suggesting it also made them "softer". Caitlin Lewis commented: "Always wash with soda crystals on every wash and all my whites are white. It's fantastic as it whitens them and makes them soft." Samantha Ashton explained: "I add half a cup of soda crystals to the washing machine to whiten my towels, then just add in my detergent too. Comes up great."Elbow Grease Soda Crystals cost £1.49 for 500g from The Range, working out at 30p per use if you use half a cup, roughly equivalent to 100g.
