Fans flood The Lord of the Rings and Stockport hero Dominic Monaghan with support as podcast 'The Friendship Onion' goes on hiatus

The Lord of the Rings fans have flooded star Dominic Monaghan with support as he announced his podcast, The Friendship Onion, is going on hiatus.

But Dominic, who moved to Stockport, Greater Manchester from Germany at 11 years old, said that The Friendship Onion would be going on a break as he and Billy focused on other projects. Taking to Instagram on Thursday , he posted a statement which read: "The Friendship Onion will be going on hiatus for the time being, while we are both focusing on our projects.

"We look forward to bringing you all more information on Friendship Onion in the very near future!" He captioned the post: "More news about @thefriendshiponion when we are able to report it". @mizzfitnyc commented: "Yay!! Best of luck to you and Billy on your projects! Can't wait to see what they are!" while @lauren.lalaith added: "Very sad to hear this but 100% understandable!!" @oxxy.mulder said: "Thank you both for everything you have given us so far!!" and @ehmuhlee_93 commented: "Enjoy your time focusing on projects! We'll be excited to welcome you back when you can".
