Fanatics Fest, the world’s leading sports fan festival, has entered into a multiyear partnership with OBB, a next-gen entertainment studio. The collaboration promises to enhance the event's content and overall fan experience for years to come.
Fanatics , a leading force in the sports merchandise and experience industry, is solidifying its commitment to providing unparalleled experiences for sports fans. To further this mission, Fanatics has announced a significant multiyear partnership with OBB , a next-generation entertainment studio. This collaboration aims to amplify the reach and impact of Fanatics Fest, the world's premier sports fan festival.
The partnership encompasses all facets of Fanatics Fest, promising to deliver even more engaging content and memorable moments for attendees and a broader audience. The expanded agreement builds upon the success of the past two years, where the festival drew over 125,000 fans to the Javits Center in New York City. Recognizing the event's growing popularity, Fanatics Fest will be extended to a four-day showcase of sports, collecting, and culture, returning to the Javits Center from July 16–19, 2026. This expansion underscores the festival's commitment to creating a comprehensive and immersive experience for its passionate fanbase.\OBB will play a pivotal role in co-producing the event alongside Fanatics Events and will also serve as the official content partner. This includes producing 'Fanatics Fest: All Access,' an hour-long special airing on ESPN, which highlights the most captivating moments from the summer event. The special offers a glimpse behind the scenes, capturing the essence of the festival and showcasing the interactions between athletes, celebrities, and fans. Michael Rubin, the CEO of Fanatics, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that OBB's contributions have significantly elevated the content and production surrounding the event. He envisions a decade of collaboration, continuously enhancing the fan experience and making Fanatics Fest the ultimate destination for sports enthusiasts, collectors, and entertainment seekers. OBB's branded content studio, Bolded, is also deeply involved, collaborating with Fanatics' advertising division to secure impactful brand sponsorships and integrations within the festival. This collaborative approach enhances the overall experience and provides unique opportunities for brands to connect with the dedicated Fanatics audience. Notable partnerships include collaborations with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Starbucks, and Raising Cane’s, further enriching the festival's offerings and appeal.\Michael D. Ratner, the founder and CEO of OBB, emphasized the unique nature of Fanatics Fest, highlighting its convergence of sports, content, culture, and community. He expressed excitement about solidifying the partnership and looking forward to building upon the established platform. The special, 'Fanatics Fest: All Access,' captured numerous unforgettable moments, including the first-ever Fanatics Games. In a highlight of the games, Philadelphia teacher Matt Dennish secured a $250,000 deal with Tom Brady for his LeBron James rookie card, which he won at the event. The Fanatics Games featured a competition between 50 athletes, celebrities, and influencers against 50 fans for a grand total of $2 million in prizes. Brady's win came with a $1 million prize, from which he generously donated $5,000 to each fan participant, and then gave $750,000 to charity. The special was hosted by WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, and featured interviews with several athletes including NBA All-Star Victor Wembanyama, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and WWE champion Cody Rhodes. The athletes shared experiences of meeting their biggest fans. The special also included Brady meeting a Make-A-Wish recipient, continuing a heartwarming tradition from the inaugural event. WWE stars Rhea Ripley and Paul 'Triple H' Levesque also created surprise moments with signature walkouts. Among the many viral moments, Kevin Durant learned of his trade from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets during a panel at Fanatics Fest. The partnership aims to continue highlighting what makes the festival special: an interactive celebration where fans can share their passions while exploring the worlds of sports and collecting. The aim is to create an experience that keeps bringing memorable moments for sports fans year after year
