An incident involving the family of Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns and a fan during Sunday’s Western Conference semifinal round playoff game at the American Airlines Center has the basketball player seeing red.
, the incident involved Paul’s mom, Robin, having “hands put on her by Dallas fans” during the game and Paul’s wife, Jada, being pushed in front of their two kids, which made them feel “very unsafe” and was reportedly followed up the arena steps when she left.
Understandably so, it’s too bad the player had to be held back as he seemingly almost confronted the fan who was involved.on the broadcast during the game telling security that someone “put his hands on my mom.”: “Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families…[expletive] that!!”, The Mavericks put out a statement after the game and said the fan in question was “swiftly removed” from the game.
“The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” the team said in a statement via. “The Mavericks, along with the Americans Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.” The team lost to the Mavericks 111-101 and evened the best -of-seven series 2-2, with Game 5 scheduled for Tuesday night in Phoenix.
