The Spurs bring in the veteran point guard to help the team rebuild.
According to a report, Paul is set to ink a one-year deal and fill the Spurs' need for a veteran point guard to pair with Victor Wembanyama and mentor the young guards on the roster, including rookie Stephon Castle and the rest of the players. The 18-year NBA veteran averaged 9.2 points per game , 3.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists last season for Golden State and shot 37% from the three-point line.
However, some fans scoffed at the signing, pointing out that Paul wasn't what they wanted at the point guard spot.Chris Paul isn’t washed the pick and roll is going to be lethal. Also he’s going to mentor the young guys and be a coach on the court is going to be beautiful to watch it’s 1 year guys relax the young guys are going to learn so much in that year.Love this move! Lots to learn and dude can still move the ball.
