'Charlie’s son is growing up to just be like him and this brings the family some sort of comfort. He has left a hole in many hearts and will be missed by many'
The family of a 'loved' young dad who 'could light up the room with just his smile' have paid heartfelt tribute to him following the conclusion of an inquest into his death. Charlie Brogan, 21, came off his Yamaha motorbike on Spring Road in Wigan on May 25, 2022.

Charlie’s son is growing up to just be like him and this brings the family some sort of comfort. He has left a hole in many hearts and will be missed by many."
As they neared the Heinz factory, the couple stopped behind a grey Mercedes E-class driven by Lukarz Konarzewski before both Mr Konarzewski and Mr Brogan turned left onto Spring Road, the court heard. Giving evidence, Ms Rugen said this was 'really unusual' as this was not their usual route, and added that she thought 'something must be wrong'.
Toni Reed, who witnessed the collision as she was driving past in the opposite direction, said it looked like Mr Brogan 'lost control because he was going too fast'. "From what I saw, he came off as he tried to correct himself, and I believe he hit the curb on the left," she added.
