Mother-of-three Heather Smedley died shortly after she was taken to hospital on Friday
Heather Smedley died after she was injured by a police vehicle that was involved in a chase in Oldham The family of a woman who died after a collision with police vehicle that was involved in the pursuit of a suspected stolen vehicle on Friday have paid tribute to their “role model”.The mother-of-three was taken to hospital but died a short time later, Greater Manchester Police said.
The family said: “The world was a much better place with you in it. Our mum was the most kind, gentle, beautiful soul inside and out. She faced all of life’s challenges with her beautiful smile, and her bravery and courage never wavered. Chris Bowen, Chief Superintendent of GMP’s Oldham district, said the police service’s thoughts and condolences were with Ms Smedley’s family.
