Speaking to DZMM Sunday, Jan Christian Bulatao, the husband of Kathy Bulatao, said he is willing to file charges against the hospitals if given the chance.
According to Jan Christian, they first went to a lying-in clinic in North Caloocan, but was told to go to a bigger hospital because they lack the equipment for his wife's condition. He was told that they may have to pay around P60,000 pesos, and he was also asked to pay P30,000 as downpayment. "Nag-ano na lang po kaming maghanap ng ibang ospital kasi parang wala na pong patutunguhan 'yung usapan namin," he said.
"Willing daw po sila nai-admit kami, pero same issue na walang OB. Pero magtatawag tawag daw po sila pero walang kasiguruhan na may OB," he said. Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan promised to give financial aid to Jan Christian and his family. He also said the city government will be providing him a lawyer once he files charges against the hospitals who refused to treat his wife.
