Devon Williams Huff has been missing for a full month, after witnesses say he went into the Chena River.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - September 19 marked one month since witnesses say 26-year-old Devon Williams Huff went into the Chena River and never came out. His loved ones say they will not find closure until he is located.
Devon’s family and friends have continued the search all through the following weeks - sometimes with assistance, sometimes with his mother - searching alone. Now, they fear the river might freeze before they have a chance to find him. The family is also asking for someone with a truck to help tow a boat along the river. They intend to ask the National Guard for additional help with the underwater portion of the search.
“He was goofy, very helpful,” Demientieff recalled, “loved his family, you know, he was looking towards his future.”
