A family member of Dwan Williams, Alonzo Lawrence, says he was informed about the arrest from FOX10 News and couldn’t believe it. Lawrence says he felt Dwan and Andre’s murders had been forgotten. Now, he says they’re closer to getting justice.According to the District Attorney’s Office, Prez was picked up in California last Tuesday and extradited to Mobile.Surveillance video FOX10 News obtained captures the scene the night of November 21, 2021 just after 3 a.m.
It shows a SUV make a U-turn in the middle of Rangeline Road just south of I-10 and then suddenly stops in the northbound lanes.Investigators say both Carter and Williams were in the car dead. According to Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine they were headed back to Mississippi, when the car was shot up, after a confrontation at a Prichard nightclub.“When I first found out I thought it was a joke for real. I thought it would never be solved,” Lawrence said. “We’re still sad about the situation but it’s almost like a celebration because his mom she’s taking it really hard. And this will help the grandma out a lot.
