A family has been left devastated after their one-year-old dog was viciously attacked and killed by another dog in a park. The incident occurred on March 22 in Derby Park, Bootle. The dog, named Timmy, was being walked by the owner's twin sister when the attack happened. Despite efforts to save him, Timmy suffered a punctured stomach and could not be saved. The family is in shock and the owner's daughter described Timmy as a beloved member of the community.
A family has been left heartbroken after her one-year-old pooch got mauled to death in a park. The horror incident took place on March 22 in Derby Park, Bootle when Timmy was viciously attacked by a "Pitbull cross". Edna Walker's Cavapoo was being walked by her twin sister May Barton on Friday when the dog was attacked leaving him with a punctured stomach which ultimately led to his death.
The whole family have been shaken by the incident as the devastated mum's daughter May told the ECHO: "My auntie takes Timmy on the same route with the same people every day. The other dog came from nowhere and she tried to pull it off. "The owner ran off with their dog and Timmy started to run off out the park to go home. She ran after him but he was in a bad way with a punctured stomach. She took him to the vet but they said they couldn't do anything more for him."
