He would always share positivity toward everybody. He would tell me and his family to ‘Stay positive. It is going to get better.’”
The family said the investigation hit a stalemate after the original detective assigned to the case was reassigned to another department.“The detective who is assigned has been reaching out and going back and re-interviewing people, trying to find things they may have missed at first,” Gallegos-Gaitan said. “We have hope, but we want to make sure it is stayed on top of. Someone killed Troy, and that someone is still out there and can potentially hurt someone else.
