The Shindig, a new food park, opened this summer in East Dallas.
The space can hold up to 150 people and has plenty of fun activities like gaga ball, giant Legos, ping pong tables, a stage for events, and huge TVs in case there’s a big game no one wants to miss.
De León hopes that spaces like hers will further activate an area that has been less developed for many years. “I think there are a lot of opportunities for Samuell [Blvd.] to change. There are a lot of properties for sale. There’s a lot of development going on,” she said. “Right across the street is the Tenison Golf Course, and right across the street is part of the new mountain bike trail system. It all helps to enhance the area.”The Shindig opened in summer 2023 at 3732 Samuell Blvd. in Dallas. It’s open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
