The family of a northeast Ohio woman whose body was found in a southeast Columbus basement, hidden under air mattresses and a deflated pool, now demanding answ
"To be put under a pool and air mattresses like that, like she doesn't mean anything. It's beyond disrespectful, beyond disgusting," said Ca'Shanti Medlock, the sister of Chara Medlock, 32, whose body was found Thursday by members of a federal Marshal fugitive task force.
Police say Carter told federal agents where to find the body while he was taken into custody and is now charged with abusing a corpse. "Mr. Carter informed Detectives he went on with his daily activities, believing that Law Enforcement would eventually locate when he was arrested on his warrant. Mr. Carter stated he didn't realize it would take that long for Law Enforcement to locate and arrest him."Family members say Medlock was last seen alive in Canton on December 3, when she said she told relatives she was going to visit Carter at his home in Massillon, near Cleveland.
