A Family Day Celebration was held at Dannelly Field to welcome F-35 fighter jets to Montgomery.
Unit members, veterans, and the families of the 187th fighter wing of the Alabama National Guard celebrated the F-35's homecoming.MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The 187th fighter wing is not only welcoming the new F-35 fighter jet to Dannelly Field, but also families.
Events like this one allow his daughter Gabrielle Henderson to show her family the importance and prestige of the work her unit does on a daily basis. Families and veterans were able to enjoy tours of certain aircraft, food trucks, and aerial performances. Those performances included groups of parachuters, F-16s, and the coveted F-35s.
