Families are given advice on how to keep their broadband up during coronavirus lockdown

"Reliable internet speeds will be crucial so we can work from home where possible, stay connected with our families and keep up to date with the latest health information.”

The ‘Stay Connected’ gives a range of practical tips and advice to help people get the speeds and reception they need while at home. Broadband and mobile networks have seen overwhelming and shifting patterns of demand as a result of the response to the outbreak. OfCom and all the major telecom companies are constantly monitoring traffic on their networks to make sure there isn’t a slow down. Melanie Dawes, Ofcom’s Chief Executive, said: “Families across the country are going online together this week, often juggling work and keeping children busy at the same time."
