A new restaurant expected to open in Cape May county this summer has sweeping sunset views over the Delaware Bay.
One of the Jersey Shore’s most famous sunset viewing spots is getting a new restaurant currently under construction in Cape May Countyis expected to open during the 2024 summer season at the famed Sunset Beach in Lower Township and replaces The Grille, a quaint bayside eatery. The location just north of Cape May Point overlooks the Delaware Bay and the sunken wreck of the concrete ship SS Atlantus..
The new restaurant will be located across the parking lot from Sunset Beach Gifts and mini-golf on Sunset Boulevard. The gift shop, which is near the historic World War II Lookout Tower used to spot ships entering Delaware Bay, hostsAccording to the Fish House website, the new restaurant will serve fresh seafood, craft sandwiches and homemade local ice cream.
“The Fish House is going to be a beautiful addition to the beloved Sunset Beach,” the Hammers said on Thursday. “We look forward to the community creating memories over fresh seafood, craft sandwiches and delicious cocktails.” The company’s website notes that the duo have dabbled in many ventures including renovating homes and a food truck, but entered the restaurant industry in 2022 when they openedPort, which includes a full marina, is also in Lower Township along Cape May Harbor
