The Match Factory Posts Trailer for Aki Kaurismäki’s Cannes Palme d'Or contender 'Fallen Leaves' & First Sales

Alma Pöysti and Jussi Vatanen co-star as two lonely people who meet each other by chance in the Helsinki night and try to find the first, only, and ultimate love of their lives.

Their path is clouded by the man’s alcoholism, lost phone numbers, not knowing each other’s names or addresses, and life’s general tendency to place obstacles in the way of those seeking happiness. The Match Factory has presold the film to France , Japan , Benelux , Baltics , Ex-Yugo , Greece , Hungary , Israel , Portugal , Sweden and Switzerland .

Pandora Film will release the film in German cinemas and B- Plan Distribution in Finland. The film is produced by Sputnik Oy and Bufo, with co-production of Pandora Film .
