Fallbrook crash leaves at least one dead, sparks small brush fire [Breaking]
It was unclear how the crash occurred, but Choi said the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV apparently lost control and went about 30 feet off the roadway, plunging down a small embankment before striking a tree.The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene before emergency crews arrived, Choi said. His name and age were not immediately available.
The wrecked SUV ended up in thick vegetation and sparked a small brush fire that firefighters quickly extinguished, Choi said. Authorities were operating one-way traffic on that stretch of Reche Road as of 12:40 a.m. and asked drivers to avoid the area.
