We chatted with NWSSanAntonio about when the cooler weather will arrive, plus our next chance for rain.
"It will drop the temperatures a few degrees," Gale said."As of right now, we're not expecting a lot of precipitation, just a 20 percent chance or so for some isolated storms as it moves through, not something we're too confident in at this time."
A stronger cold front is slated to arrive Sunday, Gale said, and will drop temperatures into the low 50s, and potentially upper 40s. There's also a better chance for rain Sunday and Monday.Gale explained why the transition seasons of fall and spring bring cold fronts to the area. "The jet stream moves further south than in the summertime, with more frequent weather systems moving through the area, there are more cold fronts in South Central Texas," Gale said.National Weather Service San Antonio/Austin
