Patrick Stump, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Fall Out Boy, and his wife, Elisa Yao-Stump, in August sold a three-bedroom, 1,753-square-foot house that they had owned in his native Glenview for $300,000. Patrick Stump, left, and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy perform at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Sept. 8, 2018.
In the early 2000s, Stump, 37, joined Fall Out Boy, which was formed in Wilmette. Today, he is based in Los Angeles, where he and his wife have owned several homes over the years. In 2005, Stump paid $425,000 for the Glenview house, which means they sold it over the summer for a meaningful loss. Because the Glenview sale was an off-market deal, there is little information about the house itself. Built in 1952, the six-room, 1.5-story house has one bathroom and sits on a 0.16-acre parcel on Elm Street, close to Manor Park.Goldsborough is a freelance reporter
