The Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival is celebrating 70 years this weekend

In front of the Page & Palette bookstore at S. Section St. and De La Mare Ave., visitors to the annual Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival circulate in the street. The Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival returns this weekend, offering free access to around 200 exhibitors plus live music, children’s art activities and food vendors in the streets of downtown Fairhope.

For its 70th anniversary, it’s also back to what it does best. According to Southern Living, that’s making artists and visitors feel glad they came. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Parking is limited and festival patrons are encouraged to respect “no parking” signs and not to block driveways. Parking is available at Fairhope East Elementary School; the public garage and the municipal lot off North Church Street; and at First Baptist Church of Fairhope, St. Lawrence Church and the Fairhope United Methodist Church except during church services. Handicap parking is available on Bancroft St.
