Community members in Fairbanks have come together to support a man living with muscular dystrophy who lost his home and livelihood after a car accident.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - After a Fairbanks SUV crash was caught on camera showing community members pulling a man who lives with muscular dystrophy to safety, Conan Storm is expressing thanks to Golden Heart community members who are now helping him rebuild.
Around 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, Storm said he was driving on Peger Road, near Pioneer Park, when he said he lost control of his SUV and rolled into a ditch, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic.Storm, who is homeless and was living out of his SUV which had a lift kit supporting his limited mobility, is now getting assistance as he works to recover. A big part of that assistance includes Sarah Hollister, the executive director of the United Way of the Tanana Valley.
