This undated photo provided by the Alaska Goldpanners shows Baseball Hall of Fame's Dave Winfield when he played for the Alaska Goldpanners of Fairbanks in 1971 and 1972. Despite having 465 professional home runs to his name, Winfield on Tuesday still had a clear memory of the famed Fairbanks home run. He said he’d been limited to pitching during his time at the University of Minnesota, and it wasn’t until he came to Fairbanks that he came into his own as a hitter.
