KUALA LUMPUR: Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil has congratulated broadcast personality Suhaimi Sulaiman on his appointment as the new Broadcasting Director-General.
In a Facebook post, Fahmi said Suhaimi who has extensive experience in administration and broadcasting had served with the Sarawak Media Group, the Malaysian National News Agency , Astro Awani and Media Prima.
"InsyaAllah, with his expertise, he will continue to drive excellence and boost the Broadcasting Department Malaysia," read the post. Suhaimi, 61, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon, United States, and a Master of Business Administration from City University, Bellevue, Washington, United States.
He has held several key positions in broadcasting and journalism including as CEO and editor-in-chief of TV news channel Astro Awani in 2017 and Bernama chairman in 2020. - Bernama
