Third-year sophomore Fadil Diggs has come on strong over the last six months and was named Texas A&M's most valuable defensive player of spring drills.COLLEGE STATION — Defensive end Fadil Diggs arrived on the Texas A&M campus two years ago from East Camden, N.J., and promptly bought a pair of cowboy boots. Subsequently, the New Jerseyan acquired a cowboy hat and an affinity for hog hunting.There is, however, one thing in the heart of Texas to which Diggs is still adjusting.
“He’s a guy who works hard and says, ‘Yes, sir,’ and ‘No, sir,’ and, ‘What else can I do?’ ” Fisher said of Diggs. “He’s a great example for the on how to go about your business on a daily basis as far as work ethic, technique, toughness and battling through things. … I can’t say enough good things about him.”
“He has the effort you want to play with and the physicality you want to play with, and he’s becoming a better technician with how he’s rushing and being productive,” Fisher said. “And he’s there every day.”
