Democrats faced a slew of defeats this election year, after losing the White House, the Senate, and likely the House of Representatives.

President-elect Donald Trump swept all seven swing states, becoming the first candidate to do so since Former President Barack Obama was elected. Pennsylvania was considered by many to be the key to the White House, and Trump won the state handily, by around 142,00 votes,This win was a large uptick for Trump compared to his performance in 2016 when he only won the state by around 40,000 votes. But, Pennsylvania was just one piece of the Blue Wall that crumbled for Democrats, Trump also won Wisconsin and Michigan, performing better than in 2016.
In Wisconsin, Trump secured the win by around 29,000 votes, which was still more than the amount of votes President Biden received in 2020. In 2020, Biden beat Trump by around 22,000 votes. Michigan wasn't quite as tight of a race, Trump beat Vice President Kamala Harris by around 78,000 votes.according to NBC News' exit pollEighty-five percent of Black Americans voted for Vice President Kamala Harris, but Trump is making gains with Black men.
