Democrats only need to flip four districts to take back the majority in the House, which they last held in 2020.

FILE - House Speaker-elect Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., addresses members of Congress at the Capitol in Washington, Oct. 25, 2023.

Another tight race will be in California's 13th District, which flipped red for the first time in decades after Republican Freshman Representative John Duarte won in 2022. Yet it's also important to note, Biden won that same district by double digits in 2020., it's common for the opposition party in Congress to add to their roster of crossover districts in a midterm, and that’s exactly what happened in 2022.

Political analysts say the top three states with Senate seats most likely to flip Republican are West Virginia, Montana, and Ohio. Former President Donald Trump won all three of those states handily in 2020, which points to a tough race for Democrats to win in November, especially with Trump on the ballot again.
