The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into Boeing following claims by a whistleblower that the company took shortcuts in the manufacturing of its Dreamliner jets. The whistleblower, a Boeing engineer named Sam Salehpour, stated that these shortcuts could pose serious problems as the aircrafts age, raising concerns about the company's manufacturing practices. The FAA has confirmed the investigation but has not provided further details.

We strongly encourage everyone in the aviation industry to share information," the FAA said in a statement. "We thoroughly investigate all reports."
