While the F-15E now joins its newer sibling, the F-15EX Eagle II, in receiving this sophisticated upgrade, the number of aircraft that will ultimately benefit from this enhancement remains to be determined.The first operational F-15E equipped with the Eagle Passive/Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) made its debut at the 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, England, on January 15th.
