The latest partner promotions and appointments at EY, Deloitte and PwC reflect the major downturn in advisory work.
Already a subscriber?Accenture energy market adviser Faye Griffiths has jumped to EY as part of its latest round of partner appointments, and says even the ascendant energy sector is not immune from the“It’s almost a universal focus, and the energy sector is no different. Every bit of capacity needs to be focused on, and reducing costs and investing well is incredibly important,” she said.
During the same period, about 55 partners have left EY, 250 have left PwC , and about 110 have left Deloitte.Ms Griffiths, whose move comes after 25 years at Accenture, says the consulting industry has undergone “incredible changes” during her career, and the requirements of young employees have changed markedly.
Ms Griffiths is one of 21 lateral appointments to the EY partnership this year, on top of 24 direct promotions, a drop from last year’s crop of 81 new partners.Advertisement The firm now has about 1035 partners, of which roughly half are equity-owning partners and the other half are salaried .The firm’s powerhouse consulting division has brought on a third, or nine of 26, of the new lateral hire partners.
