New Treasury rulemaking would expand the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United Statesâ jurisdiction to review land sales near 56 additional military sites, bringing the overall number to 227. Executive Vice President of the National Taxpayers Union Brandon Arnold says that those extraordinary measures will likely kick in to extend the amount of time Congress and the President will have to come to deal about the debt ceiling.
