The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has warned that tourists will need a pass to access some areas for part of the summer
There's a cautionary flag for tourists eyeing France this summer they may need to prepare for some extra paperwork or risk being 'banned'. This new notification arises as Paris gets ready to roll out the red carpet for Olympic Games 2024, meaning, understandably, there'll be additional regulation in place.
The FCDO advised: "From Thursday 18 July until Friday 26 July, you will need a digital pass to travel to some areas of Paris because of preparations for the Olympic opening ceremony. Different rules will apply depending on whether you are travelling on foot, by bike, or by car or another vehicle." These Olympic Games are set to take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11, and will be back-to-back with the Paralympic Games running from August 28 to September 8, reports Devon Live.
