The prison, which holds both male and female inmates, enforces humiliating practices such as forced head shaving and the denial of basic necessities like toiletries. Overcrowding is extreme, with cells designed for 180 people housing up to 370, leading to unsanitary conditions and widespread disease. Chris reported that about 90 percent of his cell contracted scabies. The environment has been termed a 'hellhole,' and the death of a 28-year-old inmate from a heart attack was attributed to the inhumane conditions.
