Health experts are issuing warnings to anyone who sleeps on their stomach. Many sleep experts, chiropractors and doctors are in agreement that no matter how comfortable you might feel, the position 'is bad for you'.
"When a person sleeps on their stomach, they throw off their spine and risk throwing off their entire body", concludes a study by Cleveland Clinic. "It puts added stress on your lower back—and that's a part of the body that most of us are already taxing in our day-to-day activities." Many experts agree that sleeping on your side or back is much better for you. However, sleeping on your back is a bad choice for those who suffer from sleep apnea or snore.
