Health reform advocate Dr. Anthony “Tony” Leachon said health experts who are warning of the slow but persistent increase in the country’s Covid-19 cases only want to remind the public that the virus is still present.
This was issued after Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines President Dr. Jose Rene De Grano disclosed that Covid-19 admissions in private hospitals are increasing. Similar to what was disclosed by De Grano, Philippine General Hospital Spokesperson Dr. Jonas Del Rosario on Thursday, May 18, also confirmed that they are also seeing a gradual rise in their Covid-19 admissions. Philippine Heart Center , on the other hand, is currently implementing a “No Visitor Policy” citing the rise of Covid-19 infections as their reason for the imposition of this temporary measure.
