They are Kota Marudu member of parliament Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili , Beluran MP Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee , Kudat MP Datuk Abd Rahim Bakeri , Keningau MP Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan , Pensiangan MP Arthur Joseph Kurup and Ranau MP Jonathan Yasin . “Although we expected a candidate to be named for the deputy prime minister’s post, the creation of the Sabah and Sarawak Affairs portfolio is fantastic. We hope Maximus will do good for Sabah and Sarawak via this new ministry,” said Romzi.“I am sure he will boost tourism in Sabah and Sarawak.”
On Jonathan’s appointment as deputy home minister, Romzi said the former had a legal background and was the right person to hold the post.
