Drivers should expect delays and prepare for the following restrictions from Monday, April 24, to Friday, April 28:In addition, there will be single-lane closures on the Geronimo Road overpass from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 28, and Monday, May 1. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the work zone.The bridge restrictions are needed so crews can treat the bridge decks, extending the life of the bridge.
East- and westbound I-40 from Perkins Valley Road through Holbrook will have alternating lane restrictions daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.The traffic restrictions will be removed each day after work hours and during weekends. The restrictions from Perkins Valley Road through Holbrook are needed so crews can permanently stripe the highway and install traffic counters in the road. The work will complete a $6.5 million project to repave 6 miles of I-40 in Holbrook. For more information, visit the
