Speaking of chance and opportunity, the SEC team who could definitely benefit from the expanded 12 team playoff is Ole Miss. The Rebels went 11-2 last season under Lane Kiffin who’s headed into his 5th year at the helm. and he hit the portal hard, as he always does in this new era of NIL and transfer portalOle Miss racked up the most wins ever in the program’s 118-year history. The Ole Miss faithful would love to see history continue to be made during the 2024 season and they have a shot behind starting quarterback Jaxson Dart, who passed for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns last year.
