The 26-year-old is primarily a centre-back, but can play anywhere across the back four if needed, providing some extra stability to Ange Postecoglou’s back line. Archie Gray filled in at centre-back alongside Radu Dragusin as Spurs were thumped 6-3 by Liverpool on Sunday , while Djed Spence filled in at left-back.Godfrey left Everton to join Atalanta in the summer in a deal worth £10million, but has since made just five appearances for the Serie A outfit, only two of which have come in the league.
