The University of Cape Town council has reached a R12 million settlement agreement with Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng to leave the university on early retirement. | AdriaanBasson MarvinCharles_

Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng will take an early retirement package from the University of Cape Town after the embattled vice-chancellor and university council reached an exit settlement deal on Tuesday night.
