Frank Lampard’s appointment as the new Coventry City manager is imminent and could be announced as early as Wednesday,It is believed the 46-year-old has agreed a deal with the Sky Blues and his arrival will be confirmed soon.the legendary ex-midfielder was a top contender for the vacancy.
Coventry sacked Mark Robins earlier this month after eight years at the club, with the Sky Blues sitting 17th in the Championship.The Sky Blues remain in 17th with interim boss Rhys Carr taking charge of the last two second-tier games, including Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat against Burnley.Lampard’s last permanent role came with Everton – lasting just under a year at Goodison Park before being sacked with a record of 12 wins in 44 games.
