Police said the student consumed an excessive amount of alcohol while playing drinking games at a party the night he was found unresponsive.
Becky Metrick | [email protected] College Police said the student was found unresponsive by his roommate just after 4 a.m. Sunday, at their off-campus apartment. Despite life-saving measures taken by police and EMS, he died at the scene.the Daily Collegian reported.
Although police believe the death is accidental, investigators said: “excessive alcohol consumption was a contributing factor.” O’Malley had been at a party at an off-campus residence where he was playing a drinking game and “consumed an excessive amount of alcohol,” police said.University Spokeswoman“The death of any student is heartbreaking and our hearts go out to all who knew him,” Powers wrote to the paper.
